Meet the Creators
Becky Ances founded the Moo-Cow Fan Club at Emerson college where she started a newsletter based on her favorite stuffed animal. After school she traveled the world with her husband, Ryan Wilson, and met many new Moo-Cow Fan Club characters along the way. They have grown the Moo-Cow Fan Club into an award-winning magazine, a book series and a website. Becky is the primary writer for all things Moo-Cow Fan Club and is currently working on more books for the Oraculous Tales chapter book series. She and Ryan have been creating Moo-Cow Fan Club publications of one kind or another for over a decade now, and she can’t imagine a time in their future when they won’t be.
Ryan Wilson was the first subscriber to a zine called the Moo-Cow Fan Club newsletter that a cute girl at his college had started. He’s now married to that cute girl and is the art director and head illustrator for all things Moo-Cow Fan Club. He’s also added book designer to his resume with the creation of the Oraculous Tales series. Ryan has produced hundreds of illustrations for the Moo-Cow Fan Club magazine, moocowfanclub.com, and now for the MCFC books. He claims to be just getting started, and he hopes soon he’ll have made thousands of drawings of Moo-Cow and his friends.
Ryan and Becky currently write and illustrate while teaching English at a university in the Zhezhang province of China. When they are stateside they live in a yurt in woods of Peterborough, New Hampshire, with their cat Pua, right down the road from Keby’s family farm.
They are available for speaking engagements, school or library programs and interviews. They are also always willing to go on TV/radio shows and give their expert opinion on...stuff.
You can contact Ryan, Becky or anyone else in the Moo-Cow Fan Club Gang here.
